So I have never seen the original Star Trek TV series, I have seen a lot of Next Gen, but not the original. And since I'm going to try the now free to play on steam Star Trek Online, I thought I'd watch the old shows on Startrek.com just to cover my bases.
I've done some of this with every MMORPG I've been playing that has an existing base. I'm reading DC comics as I've been playing DC Universe Online, and I'm reading the Lord of the Rings series slowly but surely as I play LOTR online. That and I feel that its part of my family's culture.
My mom used to know elven, my aunt collects Star Trek Christmas ornaments, my cousin used to collect Star Wars memorabilia, and my dad was an AV geek before it was cool. Oh and my other cousin, Erich is part of this awesome site. And those are the few things my family can talk about easily. So I come from a geek family.
